    Catfish Anglers Association points standings are a team standing rather than an individual standing. This change will more fairly reward teams that fish together on a regular basis. Points will be awarded to the team designated Captain and any division of winnings in a team award will be the responsibility of the Captain. This method of calculation helps in determination of the Teams that will be nominated to fish in the Cabelas King Kat Classic.

    2009 changes to the points calculation system are as follows.

    Teams are awarded points according to the position they finish the tournament which are

        1st        100
        2nd        96
        3rd         94
        4th         92
        5th         90
        6th         88
        7th         86
        8th         84
**This sequence will continue to decrease by 2 points for all positions in the finish order.**

    Bounus points will be awarded for various accomplishments in the tournament.

        50lb total at weight-in =    2 bonus pts
        Each 10lb over 50lb     =    1 bonus pt 
        Five fish Limit               =    2 bonus pts

    Team winnings will be calculated and collected at the rate of $10.00 per boat that enters each tournament.
